St Monica’s GAA Club:

There was no winner of our club lotto draw that took place on Sunday last. Numbers drawn out were 2-7-10 while our lucky dip winner was “Me & Larry”. Lotto tickets are on sale throughout the week from our clubhouse.  

Big thank you to everyone who supported our Juvenile section fund raising quiz on Tuesday night last the tidy sum of €470 was raised which will go towards providing resources for our upcoming summer camp and mini leagues. Thanks also to JJ Brennan, Amy O’Driscoll and Britney Maher for all their help with the organising and setting up of the event. 

This summer St Monica’s GAA club are hosting a GAA Cúl Camp which will run over five days from Monday July 31st to Friday August 4th. Each child who participates in the St Monica’s camp will receive a jersey, training top and back pack. St Monica’s GAA club are offering current juvenile players / members of our club the opportunity to register for the camp at a special reduced price. 

This fee is for St Monica’s members only and rates are as follows: Children 8-13 years €35, children 5-7 years the fee is €30, any additional younger sibling €20. (Normal rate €60) St Monica’s Cúl Camp Times – each day: Senior Camp for children aged 8– 13 years from 10.00am until 14.00pm. Junior Camp for children aged 5 – 7 years from 10.00am – until 12.30pm. 

All in St Monica’s would like to wish Megan Colman and her Dublin U16 team mates all the very best of luck in their All Ireland semi-final clash with Galway which takes place this Wednesday night in Moate at 7pm. 

Well done to Natasha Howard who represented St Monica’s on the Dublin mini games team which played at half time in the TG4 Leinster senior football final on Sunday last in Carlow. 

Just the three club fixtures this coming week on Wednesday our AFL 4 team are away to St Finians Newcastle (7.30pm). On Saturday they play St Margaret’s at home on the back pitch at 6.30pm while on Sunday our AFL 11 team play Erin Go Bragh also at home at 3pm. 

DJ Ciaran will be playing all the top tunes in the clubhouse on Sunday following the Dublin v Kildare Leinster final which you can watch LIVE at 4pm. John Byrne plays the clubhouse every Friday night from 9:30pm come along and enjoy a great nights entertainment.
